Children in this age group are given plenty of opportunities to sort and classify items. They enjoy pairing things together, such as socks, colors, numbers, and other objects. This helps them develop important cognitive skills while engaging in fun and hands-on activities. We provide a variety of writing materials to support their learning and enhance pretend play. These activities encourage their natural curiosity and creativity as they explore language and literacy.
Age: 31/2 to 5 years old
Various writing materials are provided, which may be used to enhance pretend play activities.
- Rhyming games are introduced to help children recognize similar sounds.
- Children are still learning to read, write, and recognize printed text at this stage.
We value their efforts rather than pushing them to read or write before they’re ready. While we offer preschool activities on-site, we also partner with local Head Start programs to provide transportation support when possible.
