The team at Sunny Center Daycare is selected for their warmth and approachability with children. Most of our staff hold degrees or are pursuing a degree in a childcare-related field. At least one staff member on duty at all times holds current CPR and First Aid certification. Our kitchen staff and cooks are required to have a Food Handler Permit and adhere to strict safety protocols.
All staff members complete a minimum of 20 hours of training annually and undergo a criminal background check. Substitutes and volunteers, after completing pre-service training and background checks, are welcome to help supervise, play games, and participate in other activities with the children. If they exceed 10 hours per week, they are required to complete additional training.
